- From the 1st October 2014 the UK government requires all suppliers bidding for certain sensitive and personal information handling contracts, and for providing certain services and products, to be certified within the Cyber Essentials scheme.
- Organisations that have successfully been assessed against the scheme will be awarded the appropriate Cyber Essentials certification badge to publicise this fact.
- Being able to advertise that you have met a government approved cyber security scheme will give you an edge over competitors in the same market.
- Cyber Essentials will also help your business achieve compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
